Maj. Gen. Rene Edward DeRussy Hoyle
August 1941 - July 1942. Gen. Hoyle later commanded the Field Artillery Replacement Center at Camp Roberts. He retied in August 1945.
Maj. Gen. Manton S. Eddy
August 1942 - August 1944. Gen. Eddy later commanded the XII Corps during the Battle of the Bulge. Postwar, Gen. Eddy served as commander of the Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth. Gen. Eddy died in 1962 and is buried at Arlington National Cemetery.
Maj. Gen. Louis A. Craig
August 1944 - May 1945. Formerly, Gen. Craig served as commander of 97th Infantry Division when the 97th was activated at Camp Swift, Texas. Postwar, Gen. Craig commanded XX Corps and served temporarily as acting commander of Third Army.
Brig. Gen. Jesse A. Ladd
May 1945 - February 1946.
