Flammpanzer covers the technical features, development, and combat deployment of German armored vehicles armed with flamethrowers. Vehicles covered include the Panzer I, Panzer II (F), Panzer B2 (F), Panzer III (Fl), Sturmgeschutz (Flamm), Sd.Kfz. 251/16, Flammpanzer 38, and Tiger I. Several combat reports are also included detailing operational use.

The book includes 33 photos, 4 scale drawings and 7 color plates. The color plates are: (i) Panzerkampfwagen II (F) and Panzerkampfwagen B2 (F), (ii) Sd.Kfz. 251/16 and Flammpanzer 38, (iii) Panzerkampfwagen III (Fl), (iv) Panzerkampfwagen III (Fl) cutaway, (v) Sturmgeschutz (Flamm), (vi) Panzerkampfwagen II (F), and (vii) Panzerkampfwagen B2 (F). Although the photos are primarily chosen for clarity, several of the photos should be new to many readers.
