Ben Morfino, who served in Company F, 259th Infantry Regiment, 65th Infantry Division, recently received a Bronze Star for his bravery in the 65th's battle for the Siegfried Line and Saarlautern. The 65th Infantry Division was a late arrival in the ETO, landing in France in January 1945. In some of the division's toughest fighting, the 65th Infantry Division captured Saarlautern March 19 and Neunkirchen March 21, 1945.
