Douglas XB-42 Mixmaster

The Douglas XB-42 Mixmaster experimental aircraft was designed with two engines in the fuselage driving a pair of contra-rotating propellers mounted at the rear in a pusher configuration. Two prototypes were built, before the project was cancelled. (U.S. Air Force Photographs.)
