    This is a photograph we have had in our family since WW2. My father is the person in the middle, John Y. Mercer, who fought in the Battle of the Bulge in the 104th infantry, Timberwoves. He was from Kentucky, USA and died in 2005. We have many more photographs which we have discovered. He never discussed with us this battle and we recently visited the newly opened Bastogne War Museum in order the learn of the events.
